Seeing the smile and emotional reaction each person has after they’ve completed their major dental implant, cosmetic, or restorative makeover is always rewarding! Today, he continues to strive for excellence and hopes to welcome you in soon. If you’d like to learn more about him, just keep reading below.
Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Hoop knew he was going to become a dentist in the 8th grade, and by making that choice, he upheld a long-standing family tradition. He’s the fifth dentist in three generations and is proud to follow in the footsteps of the talented professionals who came before him. Today, he can’t imagine having any other career.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Hoop pursued his undergraduate degree at both Northwestern University and Emory University before continuing on to the Emory University School of Dentistry for the completion of his dental doctorate, where he ranked second in his class. He remained at the school to complete a periodontal specialty residency.
Since then, Dr. Hoop has regularly pursued further dental implant training at the world’s most prestigious institutions, including the Misch International Implant Institute, the Pikos Institute, the Pankey Institute, and the Dawson Academy.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Hoop has been married to his wonderful wife Lisa for well over 30 years. They have two grown children named Jason and Lindsay who are, amazingly enough, both attending dental school at the moment! As for personal hobbies, you can often find him indulging in some gourmet cooking, fishing, and woodworking.
